Stephen Mendel was certified in 1976 in a spring fed lake in Quebec. The water temperature was a balmy 39 degrees. Raised on a diet of Jacques Cousteau and Mike Nelson in Sea Hunt diving was something that Stephen had always wanted to do. He is an L.A. County, NAUI, PADI, YMCA, CMAS, Handicapped Scuba Association instructor as well as an ASHE First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.
